God has blessed me with an awesome, amazing, compassionate, joyful, righteous, beautiful, intelligent, spectacular, wonderful, sensational, marvelous, terrific, groovy, understanding, tolerant, patient, continuously perplexed and forgiving wife. Karen is a people person who is compassionate toward everyone. She is my best friend. She is my inspiration. God has entrusted us with three boys: Ryan, David and Jonathan. They are my favorite sports companions and friends. I'm their #1 cheerleader unless I'm on the other team. I am so proud of each of them and it's an honor to be their dad. We are blessed with two daughters. Alyssa is our youngest and my favorite person to spoil. Emily is our new awesome daughter by marriage to Ryan. We love Ryan almost as much as we love Emily. It is a blast to serve here at The Church at Braden River with Wayne, Jim, Dr. Dee, CherylAnne and the other leaders. They are all full of grace, acceptance, compassion and continuous perplexity. I don't take their personal perplexity personaly...though personaly perplexing. My name is Marion Bosch. Who I am is based on what phase I am in my life. In my school years I was a musician majoring in percussion. I also played softball for a women's softball league. After high school I opted not to go to college but to join the military, specifically The United States Air Force - Strategic Air Command. After my military service, I became a wife and mother. I worked for Manatee County Government until retiring in 1995. In September of 1994, my life took a dramatic and traumatic turn. I was involved in a car accident requiring many surgeries and extensive recovery resulting in the loss of my hearing. My loss of work and compiling medical expenses caused a strain on my marriage ending in a divorce. In 1995, my dear Father passed away suddenly, leaving me to be a caretaker for my Mother and myself. Three years of physical recovery left me alone, no direction in my life and wondering why this had all happened to me. The later part of 1997 opened up a new world. I knelt down next to my bed, crying and lonely, praying for God to open up doors in my life. I asked God to give me two things: First, a meaning for my life and second, for God to send me a honest man that would love me unconditionally. God answered both my prayers. God brought my husband, Frank into my life. We married in 1998. However, I still wasn't sure what direction God wanted me to go. I started sign language classes and attended a deaf church in New Port Richey. We moved back to Ellenton in 1999. After trying several churches, God lead me to Braden River Baptist Church in September of 2002. I started signing during the Praise Worship the second Sunday I visited the church and have been doing it ever since. Although my life has been full of ups and downs, God and the church are my foundation and rock of support. The Deaf Ministry has grown throughout the past 5 ½ years to include two marvelous interpreters: Sherry and Carol, as well as, deaf and hard of hearing church members. God has open the doors to include a Deaf Bible Study class, Sign Language classes, a program to supply reconditioned hearing aids for people who cannot afford them and help to the deaf members and family during family crisis. Who I am now is a woman doing God's work in my family as a wife, mother and grandmother, a daughter and caretaker and to my church as a Deaf Ministry leader. God has turned my disability to an ability to serve Him. My goal is for everyone to see the Holy Spirit's presence in my hands, my heart and my life.
